Midi Port Cannot change
I just wanted to start by saying thank you for all your work!
Since the last MIDI update 3.10.4, I have had a hard time changing the MIDI port from one name to another. All device names are stuck and cannot be switched.

Re: Midi Port Cannot change
It's working perfectly now, after I uninstalled and then reinstalled it. Thank you for your time.

Mackie Control Port Issue
Unfortunately, I am experiencing difficulties with the MIDI port once again, and I am unable to change the port on the Mackie Control. To provide further clarity on the issue, I have created a short video lasting 1 minute and 36 seconds. I believe this video will illustrate the problem I am encountering more effectively.

Re: Midi Port Cannot change
OK. Thanks. That was a problem I thought I had fixed.
Until I get a fixed version released, please use the "Global Settings" action to change Mackie ports.

Re: Midi Port Cannot change
Hello,
Brand new user here. I also cannot get my midi ports to change. Where can I find Global Settings to make a global change to my midi ports?
Thanks

Re: Midi Port Cannot change
Please check that you have version 3.10.0.5 of the plugin installed. The problem is solved with that version.geoffsupreme wrote:Hello,

In version 3.10, there was a bug in the Mackie Control button where the plugin didn't react when you selected a new midi port. That problem is fixed in 3.10.0.5, and I have verified in both Windows and Mac that a port change can be made.
Please give me more details, is this the problem you are experiencing?

I've attached a video of my issue. I believe I'm all up to date on my firmware.Admin wrote:geoffsupreme wrote:

Edit- I'm not able to upload a video at the moment, but I've uploaded the video to google drive:

Clicking and trying to remap the midi in/out does not work and the IO reset themselves.

Re: Midi Port Cannot change
Please enable extended logging, try to make some port changes, and send me the log file.
Re: Midi Port Cannot change
Are you sure you have version 3.10.0.5 installed? The behavior in your video is exactly how the plugin reacted before version 3.10.0.5, and I'd be surprised if 3.10.0.5 would act like that.
If you right-click any action in the action tree to the right, does it say 3.10.0.5?
Regarding the global settings, add the "Global settings" action to any button, and you can change Mackie ports there.

Re: Midi Port Cannot change
Hello, yes I have confirmed on on 3.10.0.5.
I'll attach the logs below. This is my first time doing this, so I'm not sure I did it correctly.

Thanks for helping me find the global settings. I was able to change midi settings there, but now I am getting this issue.

The issue persists after a restart.

Re: Midi Port Cannot change
Unfortunately, making a pdf of the text file made it more or less impossible to read. I can see over 750.000 lines of time code messages from your daw, but I can't see much else due to the format.
The message you get indicates something is seriously wrong with your plugin installation. I suggest the following:
The message you get indicates something is seriously wrong with your plugin installation. I suggest the following:
- Uninstall the plugin and reinstall it, and if the problem persists:
- Quit your daw (to stop time code messages from filling the log)
- Enable extended logging.
- Try to perform a port change with a Mackie button.
- Send the txt file or paste the text to your reply (or in a PM)
Re: Midi Port Cannot change
I got a log file from another user and found a bug. Please stand by; we're verifying that a bug fix is correcting the problem.
