press multidials translation files

Hello,

I am running into an issue in which the press multidials are not using translation files for value displays. I am using a translation file that works perfectly on the multidial-proper but when I use it with the press multidial the dial defaults to a midi value number display.


Is there a different configuration for press dials? 


Edit: this is just happening on the 3rd multidial and press multidial. I just moved my dials around to me able to use the translation file for now.

I don't understand what you are saying. What is a "press multidial" and a "multidial-proper"?

I am speaking about the Streamdeck Plus. Sorry my naming conventions are a bit different. I mean the multi-midi Dial Rotate actions. I am using the dials with three "items" some of them have "dial rotate while pressed actions" on them. 

I have done some more testing. It is, indeed, the ""dial rotate while pressed actions" that are inconsistently displaying the values from the translation file.

If i use number or percent on the Dial Rotate Action and then try to use a translation file on the dial rotate while pressed actions, it does not work.

If I use a translation file on the Dial Rotate Action then the translation file will work on the dial rotate while pressed action.

OK. For both Multi Midi and Multi Mackie?

I revised my finding above. I am just looking at the multi-midi. I'll test the mackie is you would like.

I don't see the option of using a translation file on the dial rotate while pressed action on the multi mackie.

The "Rotate while pressed" action used the same translation file (if any) as the "Rotate" action.

I emailed Elgato a download link for version 3.8.1 a day ago and asked for the version to be published. I replaced the download file with a newer version today, where this translation bug has been fixed. Hopefully, they will download the file after my change, so this fix is included in the following published release. They will probably publish 3.8.1 today, and if the translation fix isn't included, I'll publish an updated version here.
