Scripts and scribble strips

Is it possible to access the Macke scribble strips (LCDU and LCDL) from scripts? For example, I was thinking of making a button that would display the scribble strip, and when clicked would execute a Mackie v-pot select. This is not possible with the regular button config, so I was going to (try) write a script to do it, but I don't see a way to access the LCDU/LCDL variables as in the "title" box for stream deck+ dials.
