Sysex as input for scripting
Hi All,
I'm new to this forum (and streamdeck) and I have a question.
I know you can use CC and note on as input 'trigger' for scripts.
I would like to know if it's possible to use a specific Sysex as trigger to send other midi commands.
(Or a header part of a Sysex) This way I could 'capure' a specific command send by cubase and translate it to something else)
Thanks

Re: Sysex as input for scripting
Sorry, but the script engine does not receive Sysex, so it is not possible.
Re: Sysex as input for scripting
that's a pitty, maybe I can make a worksaround in cubase. Other question is it posible to have incomming midiinfo (note/cc) control SD feattures like changing Profiles. Or can it only stay in midi environment.

Re: Sysex as input for scripting
You may be able to use Bome Midi Translator as middleware between Cubase and Stream Deck. I think it has more advanced scripting than the plugin.
Plugins are not allowed to control SD features or other plugins, so the Midi plugin can only work within itself. The ability to change profiles has been requested by many developers (and users) over the years, and hopefully, we will see this become possible someday.

Thanks,
Yes Bome MT can do most of the things, I was hopeing to minimize the background processes. I hope the developers of streamdaeck will op the enviroment a bit more for advanced controlling by 3th parties.
But thanks for the quick reply
