Translation file option for Mackie Control?

In the previous thread https://trevligaspel.forumotion.eu/t65-transform-function-for-number-display I talked about supporting transform function for number display for Mackie Control.

I thought over this for a while and coming up with a user function would be hard for many cases, and even harder for most of the users.

From an engineering perspective, supporting translation file would be easier and simpler. Could you add an option for translation file in the Value Display dropdown?

I am using Stream Deck MIDI plugin for controlling and monitoring RME's totalmix fx via a midi controller (korg nanokontrol studio). Their dbfs curve is different from most of the DAWs that are supported from this plugin.

I'll add it to the wish list.

Before going any further down the road with translation files for Mackie Control, why doesn't a customized db-file fill your needs?

It does the same job as a translation file, with the additional feature of interpolating between values.

Oh! I didn't know about that. So if I put the xml file under MackieLayouts path, the new db curve option will show up in the Value display drop-down menu?
