Addition of a parameter value in a SysEx message

Hi. Thanks for the plug-in and your updates so far!

Was just to ask if it would be possible in an update to add a variable byte to a SysEx message with a min and a max range, and map this to a V-Pot? CC only is limiting sometimes.

For example, to set the MIDI channel for Part 1 of a Roland Integra:

F0 41 10 00 00 64 12 18 00 20 vv 00 F7 

vv:
min 00
max 0F

or Part Level of Part 1

F0 41 10 00 00 64 12 18 00 20 vv 00 F7

vv:
min 00
max 7F

(or being greedy with 2 bytes…)

Reverb Parameter 2

F0 41 10 00 00 64 12 18 00 06 07 vv ww 00 F7

min 00 00
max 06 04

Hi,

By "map this to a V-Pot", do you mean an SD+ dial?

I have several requests for added commands for the SD+ dials, and this has been added to that list.

I don't know if or when I will implement things like this; things are getting pretty hectic now, and many things are happening.

I don't have the +, so only have the buttons to play with.

In the button type at the moment for CC changes, it says V-Pot (virtual?)…

So was thinking add this functionality to a parameter in a SysEx message, as well as a CC message.

I see your point, but I don't know the best way to solve such a thing.

It's a merge of the CC and the Sysex actions and a significant job. I put it on the wish list, but I'm afraid it will have very low priority.
