FR: Indicate notes in use

Hallo there!

Is it possible to show an asterisk next to the note number when it has been assigned already? I am using MIDI notes to trigger actions in REAPER, but I often forget what number I am up to and have to test a few to find the next unused MIDI note.

If you by "when it has been assigned" mean "assigned to another button in the same profile and folder" then it might be possible to do, but at the moment I don't store the necessary information in the plugin.

If you mean "assigned to another button in any profile or folder" the answer is no.  The plugin cannot see what's in other profiles and folders so that is not possible.

Yes, within a single profile would be fine. Basically I have about 12 pages with most of the buttons assigned. Some are to normal keyboard keys, but many are to MIDI notes. (over 94 of them to be precise! )

What are your thoughts on that?

Within a single profile and folder. If you have 12 pages within a single profile I still can't see what's on the other pages, just the page you're on at the moment.

It wouldn't be that complicated to fix, but there is so much going on right now (e.g. support for Mackie Control and Midi Show Control) so I can't say anything about if/when I can add such a feature.

Ahh, then that wouldn't be as useful. Thanks, though Gunnar! I understand there must be some limitation as part of the Elgato platform.
